Jack Bailey, Jr. - District Governor 2012-13

Jack joined The Rotary Club of Oak Ridge Tennessee in 2006, having previously been a member of The Greater Statesville (NC) and Brandon ’86 (FL) Rotary clubs.

He served as club president of both Brandon ’86 and The Rotary Club of Oak Ridge.

In 2006, while still in Florida, he was the recipient of the “Four Avenues of Service” Citation from RI President Carl-Wilhelm Stenhammer.

Jack was Group Study Exchange Team Leader to France in 2007 and has served as the District 6780 GSE Sub-committee chair for the past two years.

He is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, is a member of the Paul Harris Society and a charter member of the Bequest Society. He is a 2008 graduate of the District 6780 Leadership Academy.

Jack is a retired store manager with JCPenney Company. He served in a variety of management positions during his 38 year career in Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, North Carolina and lastly in Florida where he retired in 2005.

In October 2011, when work responsibilities forced Susan Elkins to step aside, Jack moved up a year in the district leadership structure, agreeing to lead as district governor in 2012-2013.
