RLI is a series of leadership courses offered through Rotary International's Heart of America Zones 29-30. A series of three full-day sessions make up the full course; those completing one session are eligible to attend the next.

Click here for info you can download (PDF).

From PDG Carol Foster ... Discount information!
These fast-paced, interactive one-day courses refine a Rotarian's leadership skills and increase knowledge of Rotary in local communities and the world.

The sessions are $85 each with the following discounts:

If an individual pays at the first session, he/she need pay for only two sessions and then plan to complete parts two and three within two years (pay for two -- get three!).

 OR

If a club is paying for its members, it can pay for three and send four members (pay for three -- train four!).

We are hoping that these discounts will encourage many more Rotarians to attend RLI, but you can make up your mind any time before that first session.

We have not yet put a credit card acceptance program into practice but you may bring a check along with you when you attend the first Institute or mail the check as noted elsewhere on this page.

Each RLI session builds a foundation for the next, and while they need to be taken in sequential order, Rotarians can travel to another district to pick up a session they have missed or take part over in courses offered in our district or elsewhere over more than one year.

The courses are designed to provide Rotary knowledge and develop leadership skills for individuals  working in volunteer organizations. RLI is fun, interactive, and participatory and uses top faculty and facilitation techniques to make the experience valuable and rewarding.

Rotarians with an interest in and potential for club leadership are nominated by their clubs for attendance; each club is encouraged to nominate two candidates. Prior election or appointment to an office or committee chairmanship IS NOT required – interest in future leadership opportunities is the key.

Rotary club officers, board members, and committee chairs and members change with each new Rotary year. Every club needs enthusiastic, knowledgeable leaders, and RLI can help enhance their leadership skills.
